Muslim Council of Elders Expresses Concern Over Israel’s Attacks on Southern Lebanon
The Muslim Council of Elders, under the chairmanship of His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, expresses deep concern over the airstrikes carried out by Israeli forces on southern Lebanon, which have resulted in many deaths and injuries. The Council warns of the serious consequences that may arise from the continued escalation and its impact on the security and stability of the entire region.
The Muslim Council of Elders calls on the international community and all relevant parties to intensify their efforts and unite their endeavors to put an immediate end to the ongoing fighting. It urges swift action to stop the aggression on Gaza and southern Lebanon, and to intensify international efforts to provide urgent humanitarian and relief assistance to innocent civilians, alleviating their suffering.
